The weekend of 20 – 21 April 2024 saw cycling enthusiasts converge at the Moses Mabhida Stadium for the annual aQuellé Tour Durban. More than 3000 entrants took on the pedalling challenge at Saturday’s Mountain Bike race and the Road Race on Sunday.
Participants and spectators alike enjoyed the pleasant days out-of-doors, spent cheering on the cyclists as they sailed along the scenic Durban coast. Joanna van de Winkel claimed the women’s title on Sunday, while Josh Reeders took first place in the men’s race.
Each cyclist over the finish line was welcomed with a refreshing bottle of aQuellé.
